How to Calm Down a Crying Baby

If your baby is crying and being too fussy, it could upset you as well. You want your baby to be happy and therefore you cannot bear the sight. Here are some tips you can use to calm down a baby who is very fussy.

The strategy that has worked for ages is using the gentle tapping and motion technique to calm down a fussy baby. In fact, with this technique, you can also easily get the baby to sleep. However, make sure that you have figured out exactly why the baby is making the fuss. If the baby is hungry you will need to feed it first. If the baby is experiencing some pain, you will first need to take care of it. You can rock the baby while holding it in your arms or you can also pat the back of the little kid. Sometimes walking in the open or even inside while holding the baby also works quite well.

The fussy babies can also be calmed down by using the soothing-voice technique. If you have been using the same sound for a long time, your baby would have gotten used to it. So, try out new sounds every now and then. You can also sing to the baby in a soft voice or make a humming sound. Sometimes the babies also get distracted by the external noise. You can turn on the radio or tune the TV up.

You can also give the fussy baby something to suck on. Sometimes they get too bored and this technique can give them something to stay busy with.
